We are a family-owned firm, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Kevin McDonald received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University as a Grantland Rice Memorial Scholar and a Senior Scholar. After a Henry Luce Scholarship in Asia, he received his MBA from Northwestern/Kellogg.

Kevin began his career with the Boston Consulting Group and later Fletcher Spaght, Inc., where he advised clients in a wide variety of industries.

On January 2, 1990 (the second day of capitalism in Poland), the Government of Poland invited Kevin to lead the restructuring effort. Kevin then founded ITCA Europe Ltd. in Warsaw, an investment banking and consulting firm serving the newly opened East Bloc. In mid-1992, the U.S. Department of State recruited Kevin to be a Senior Advisor, regarding privatization in Russia. After 18 months in that role, Kevin was asked to become President and CEO of the Defense Enterprise Fund, a private equity firm focusing on the former Soviet Union.

In the mid-90s, Kevin turned his attention to the nascent Internet, and he and his partner arranged the sale of approximately 20 internet service providers in emerging markets, especially Latin America. Kevin is proficient in Spanish and Portuguese..

Kevin moved from Boston to Albuquerque in 2014. He is active in the entrepreneurial eco-system of New Mexico, serving on the investment committee of the Ingenuity Venture Fund and on boards of early-stage companies in life sciences, medical devices, household cleaning products – and formerly other companies in data analytics, health Care IT, nanoparticles, and skin care.
